BCW HO-Scale Pullman 10-2 Plan 3584 Sleeper Kit
Southern Railroad Car Pictured
Through WWII and up to divesture, NYC had something like 16 of them assigned mostly on secondary lines. NYC did not buy any cars of this floor plan at divesture, so any assignment of this floor plan in the steam to diesel transition era (say 1947 to 1951) is dubious. At peak season, anything went, so these cars could have appeared on NYC from the Pullman pool fleet. NYC preferred the Pullman Mechanical A/C, so I would lean on the 2420 kit if I were a modeler and wanted this particular car. It should be noted that cars of this floor plan appeared on many crack NYC limiteds before the Depression. But of course, they did not have A/C at that time.
They come with correct decals, 4 tread steps, PM AC, and 242A trucks. Less interiors, wheel sets and couplers
